5. Compare & Contrast
This image was fun to recreate. I didn’t want to make an exact replica of the photo so I cooked the egg in a star shaped cookie cutter to create a different look to it. To edit this I added lots of saturation and brightness to match the inspiration photo.
This image was pretty hard to recreate. The swirl atop of the fruit was very hard to make perfect but I tried my best. Adding on, the background was difficult to get right because I didn’t have anything that would give the same effect to the apple as that one did. For the editing I added lots of saturation and brightness to give it that similar look.
This photo was super hard to recreate. I wasn’t sure how to make that dripping effect with the sauce but I tried my best. I added brightness and saturation just as I did the last few photos to match the inspiration photo.
6. Artist Statement
To create these images I wanted to include the uniqueness in elements that he shows in his work. I tried to do just that. For example in the first 2 photos I tried to edit it specifically to create a happy lighthearted look. The inspiration photos had high brightness and an exciting feel to them. The last photo had a similar feel to it. They all hold a theme of happiness and brightness within each photo.
